More and more people are finding themselves tossing and turning in their beds at night unable to fall asleep. If you find that you are unable to sleep at night but only on occasion, then you do not have insomnia. Insomnia is a term only referred to people who find themselves awake at night for a prolonged period of time. In other words, every night is a sleepless night for them. This can be very upsetting to a person with insomnia. Their bodies and minds are overtired and they feel extremely exhausted as a result.</p>
<p>Many pregnant women are prone to this condition especially nearing the end of their pregnancy. As prescription drugs are not a good option for pregnant women, there are alternative remedies for insomnia they can use.</p>
<p>A Few Suggestions For Alternative Remedies For Insomnia</p>
<p>The following alternative remedies for insomnia are aimed at pregnant women, but anyone can try them. If you are pregnant, it is especially important for you to get your sleep. So try to get as comfortable as possible. If lying down is no longer comfortable, then sit up in the bed or a comfortable chair. Pack cushions behind your back and under your feet and try to relax. Also check that the temperature in your room is right for you. If it is hot, put a fan next to your bed to keep you cool.
